lesson.

I've been making a list of the things they don't teach you at school. They don't teach you how to love somebody. They don't teach you how to be famous. They don't teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don't teach you how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer. They don't teach you how to know what's going on in someone else's mind. They don't teach you what to say to someone who's dying. They don't teach you anything worth knowing.
-neil gaiman-

its true ain't it. school doesn't teach you about life. its life that teaches you about life. school teaches me not to fall in unnecessary love but it doesn't teach me how to run away from it when love approaches. school teaches me how to respect the elders and the people around us but it doesn't teach the people around me on how to respect me in turn. school teaches me everything under the sun, but it doesn't teach me anything about what happens when the sun that i love so much decides to disappear from my life.

and yes, school doesn't teach me on "how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer."

there is no pre-requisite to love. and when you love someone you don't try to change them. you accept them as they are and you give unconditional love. yet, people change. they really do. had my own fair share of that and it opened my eyes to how fake and how much facade people put on when they're head over heels in love. "love is a losing game", so said amy winehouse. and to quote an artist who was in rehab might give some people the idea that someday i might go into rehab myself. think all you want, guess all you want. cos its your prerogative anyway. afterall, this is a free country. i took a risk by falling in love, i gambled my way through that. and i lost the bet to fate. nevertheless, the risk that i took was worth it as i had the best days of my life months ago.

Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly.

right from the anxiousness of meeting him every single day, grinning to myself when i think about him, waiting for his calls in the middle of the night, getting ready for dates, and the lovely lovely anniversaries we shared.
i'm not sure if you'll be reading this, but i wish you well.

i had a fall from grace. the first fall killed me. killed my soul. my ability and confidence to love. but as i pick myself up from the fall, i start to fly. and now i'm soaring to new heights. =)

The most important experiences we can have are those that take us to the very limit. That is the only way we learn, because it requires all our courage.
